17 December 2008 Artec Machines Systems Expands Capability as Gear Specialists  Artec Machine Systems has expanded its capability to provide field services for turbo power and marine gears regardless of manufacture. This includes field inspections, applied diagnostic full spectrum vibration analysis, repair of existing gear units of all manufacturers and reverse engineering replacement units for revamps and unit upgrades as well. Artec will focus on gear technology as a specific discipline for all facets of gear unit design in any installation throughout North and South America. This increased capacity supplements Artec’s long standing thirty five year relationship with MAAG Gear AG which has been terminated. MAAG has retreated from the manufacture of turbo power and marine gears to focus on their core business in heavy duty mill gears drive mainly in support of gear units for the parent company, FLSmidth. Nevertheless, Artec will continue to provide learned ISO-MAAG & AGMA technology for high quality materials and services with objective results in the best interest of our customers. This is reinforced by a new cooperative agreement between Artec & RENK-MAAG Gear, located in Winterthur, Switzerland company. Artec’s service center in North Branford, CT maintains a repair and testing facility as well as warehousing of dedicated parts. |
