The 14th Annual Lift Gear Seminar, co-hosted by Artec Machine Systems and Doppelmayr, successfully concluded on April 1, 2025, in North Branford, Connecticut. This esteemed event provided lift managers and maintenance personnel with comprehensive theoretical and practical training directly from industry experts.
The seminar featured in-depth classroom sessions where professionals from Artec and Doppelmayr covered essential topics, including gear types and terminology, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques related to gear toothing, backstops, bearings, couplings, alignments, and gear failure modes.
Complementing the theoretical instruction, hands-on training allowed attendees to apply their knowledge on actual gearboxes from operational lift drive systems. Participants engaged in diagnostic methods such as oil sampling analysis, audio and visual inspections, and vibration analysis, equipping them with practical skills to enhance the maintenance and reliability of their lift operations.
